INTERNATIONAL CREDENTIALS

Graduates may wish to use their academic credentials outside the United States for academic, professional, administrative, employment, or other official purposes.
Each country determines its own process for foreign academic credentials. Depending on the jurisdiction and purpose, this may involve authentication, apostille, recognition, registration, equivalency, or additional professional requirements.
Apostille and recognition are not the same.
An apostille authenticates a document for international use.
Recognition is a separate decision made by the competent
authority in the destination country.

Academic documents intended for use outside the United States may require authentication before they are presented to a foreign authority or receiving organization.
Where the Hague Apostille Convention applies, eligible documents may be prepared for apostille in accordance with applicable authentication requirements.
