Reválida
The Universidad de Panamá's regulations provide that foreign university degrees at the undergraduate/licenciatura level require reválida when the applicable recognition procedure is processed through the university.
Homologación
For foreign postgraduate university credentials, including graduate academic qualifications, the university's regulations identify homologación as the applicable form of recognition, subject to the requirements of the corresponding procedure.

Recognition Depends on the Nature and Status of the Foreign Credential
The Universidad de Panamá evaluates foreign academic credentials according to its regulations and academic standards. The university has stated that it recognizes foreign university-level credentials that satisfy the academic and institutional requirements applicable to official university degrees.
The university has also expressly distinguished official academic degrees from certain categories of foreign títulos propios, which it does not treat as official foreign academic titles for recognition purposes.
