France does not have a general system of automatic legal equivalence between foreign and French degrees. ENIC-NARIC France can issue an attestation comparing an eligible foreign qualification with a level in the French education system.
Education Level
The attestation describes the level of the foreign qualification and places it in relation to the French qualification framework.
Academic Use
A French higher education institution may request an attestation when assessing an applicant with a foreign degree.
Employment
For a non-regulated profession, the employer evaluates the qualifications presented and may request an ENIC-NARIC comparability statement.
Comparability Does Not Equal Legal Equivalence
For Further Study
The French receiving institution determines admission and recognition of prior foreign study according to its own criteria. It may request the ENIC-NARIC attestation as supporting evidence.
For Employment
