Using Your Novaris Degree in Germany

anabin Database
Germany's anabin database contains information about foreign universities, qualifications, and degree programs. Where both the institution and degree have the required evaluation, the database may provide sufficient evidence of comparability for certain purposes.
ZAB Statement of Comparability
When anabin does not contain sufficient information, an individual may apply to the Central Office for Foreign Education, ZAB, for a Statement of Comparability.
Comparison With the German Education System
Universidade
The Statement identifies the university and considers whether it was recognized within the relevant foreign system.
Degree Program
ZAB identifies the foreign degree and program and its status within the education system of origin.
German Level
The Statement may identify a corresponding German academic level, such as Bachelor's or Master's level.
Duração
Program duration and other academic characteristics form part of the Statement.
Mode of Study
ZAB's Statement can include the mode in which the foreign degree program was completed.
Digital Certificate
Statements are issued digitally and can be verified through ZAB's digital verification system.
Comparability Does Not Authorize a Regulated Profession
ZAB states that a Statement of Comparability does not itself grant professional recognition for a regulated profession. Regulated professions follow the procedure of the appropriate German recognition authority.
Institutional and Degree Status Matter
Recognized Institution
ZAB may refuse to issue a Statement when the university was not recognized at the time the qualification was awarded.
Recognized Program
A Statement may also be unavailable if the degree program was not recognized or if the qualification does not correspond to a qualification in the German education system.
