Revalidation Through Mexico's Education System
Mexico uses the term revalidación for the process through which studies completed abroad may receive recognition within the Mexican National Education System.
The Secretaría de Educación Pública, through its competent accreditation and revalidation authorities, maintains procedures for higher education studies completed outside Mexico.
Revalidation is not necessarily required for every academic purpose.
SEP guidance explains that total revalidation is particularly
necessary when the holder intends to exercise a profession in
Mexico. Different rules may apply when the goal is simply to
continue studies.
